they also cropped my photos so the watermark wouldn't show up... and they put a link to my portfolio where the watermark IS visible. very smart of them!
so then i googled my name and user name and found a bunch of my older photos on random foreign forums, blogs, and photobucket. photobucket is the worst because their copyright claim policy is ridiculous - you have to do it by mail!

if someone uploads an image correctly to tumblr, it should have a link (if the person doesn't delete it. :/) to the page they uploaded it from. i've seen a lot of images on tumblr with (via [link]) somewhere in the bottom post for images from deviantart.
so technically, if they don't remove the auto via link, it's giving you/whoever credit. BUT i'm just saying.
no credit is horrible though. :c i hope you and others can catch most of these people. if i recognize anything of yours anywhere i'll note you, though. c:
oh, i think it's okay with tumblr because most people link - it's just when... they don't... most of the things i've seen are on other blogs/forums from foreign countries who crop my photos or pretend to be me. thank you, i'd appreciate it : )
oh wow.. people these days. - thou shalt not steal! i guess you could take it as a compliment that your work is that good but i know completely how you feel. and i'm so sorry that people have to be that way.
no respect. it's hard to take it as a compliment when people take credit for it. i'd be more flattered if they said they were featuring my work. thank you, hopefully they'll just disappear soon... and i'm now making larger watermarks...
good idea.
